Automation Authorization
Authorization for Archpoint Claims to access configured systems and perform customer-approved automation activity.
1. Scope of Authorization
By accepting this Authorization, Customer permits Archpoint Claims to access Customer's connected EHR, billing, claims management, payment, clearinghouse, and related administrative systems for the sole purpose of providing configured claim automation and billing workflow services.
This Authorization is limited to the systems, credentials, practices, and automation settings Customer has configured within the Platform. Archpoint Claims will not access systems or take actions beyond that scope.
2. Authorized Actions
Within the scope of Customer's configuration, Archpoint Claims is authorized to:
- Authenticate to connected systems using credentials supplied by Customer;
- Read, retrieve, and evaluate claim-related information, including patient demographics, service records, payer data, and ERA/EOB data;
- Compare claim data against Customer-defined billing rules, fee schedules, and modifier configurations;
- Create, flag, or route review tasks for human attention within Customer's configured workflow;
- Submit claims, check claim status, retrieve remittances, and perform other claim-related actions that Customer has explicitly configured, approved, or requested through the Platform; and
- Log automation activity for audit and reporting purposes.
3. Customer Control and Revocation
Customer remains in control of the scope of authorized access at all times. Customer is responsible for determining which users, practices, payers, credentials, billing rules, and automation settings are entered into the Platform, and for reviewing and approving automation outputs according to its internal processes.
Customer may modify or revoke this Authorization at any time by disabling credentials within the Platform, adjusting automation settings, or terminating use of the service in accordance with the parties' agreement. Revocation does not affect actions already completed under prior authorization.
4. No Independent Professional Judgment
Archpoint Claims operates strictly as a software tool. It does not independently provide medical, clinical, coding, legal, compliance, or reimbursement advice, and does not exercise independent professional judgment. All automation actions are governed by rules and settings configured by Customer.
Customer remains solely responsible for final claim submission decisions, coding accuracy, regulatory compliance, and all professional obligations arising from its billing practices. Authorization of the Platform does not transfer or reduce Customer's professional or legal responsibilities.
5. Credential Security
Customer is responsible for the security of all credentials provided to the Platform. Customer should use credentials with the minimum necessary permissions to accomplish configured tasks and should promptly disable any compromised or no-longer-needed credentials. Archpoint Labs will store credentials with reasonable security controls but does not guarantee the security of third-party systems to which credentials provide access.
6. Authority to Bind
The person accepting this Authorization represents and warrants that they are an authorized administrator or officer of the Customer organization with the authority to approve system access and automation activity on the organization's behalf. Acceptance by an individual without such authority does not create a binding authorization.
